PROCESS AND CARE

understand all your needs

1.

care before your tattoo

Here are some tips to make the pigmentation process easier, less painful and faster.

Hydration
– Drink plenty of water in the seven days before the tattoo to keep you and your skin hydrated. PLEASE! 🙏
– Moisturize your skin well in the seven days before the tattoo, using a moisturizer or cream of your choice.
– Avoid bathing in very hot water 7 days before the tattoo.

Exfoliation (if possible, 1 day before the tattoo)
– Mix 1 tablespoon of honey with 1/4 tablespoon of white or brown sugar.
– Apply the mixture to the area, making circular movements for 5 minutes and then rinse with running water.

Hair removal
– If the tattoo area has hair, shave it off with a razor or wax before exfoliating, according to your preference.
– Be careful not to injure the tattoo area during the hair removal process.
– Avoid waxing 7 days before the tattoo.

Sun exposure
– Avoid sunburn or excessive exposure to the sun in the 15 days before the tattoo.

Clothes
– Wear comfortable, easily accessible clothes for the tattoo session.
– If possible, opt for clothes in neutral colors (black, white, beige or gray) to standardize the colors in the photos.

Preparing for the session
– Set aside a quiet day with no commitments and plenty of time.
– Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen or other anticoagulants for at least 24 hours before the session.
– Avoid antibiotics or anti-inflammatories 3 days before the tattoo.

Rest
– Get a good night’s sleep the night before the tattoo.

Food
– You can bring something to eat, especially if our project extends over the whole day (avoid strong-smelling food).
– We will have short breaks during the session and there will be the opportunity for a quick lunch nearby.

⚠️ Health conditions
– Please report any health conditions or allergies: Inform us of any pre-existing health conditions, allergies or medication you are taking.

⚠️ Special attention
– Tattoos on the ears, neck, hands, fingers, joints and lower limbs are places that suffer from the healing process, so extra attention is needed beforehand. If retouching is necessary, the cost of the material will be charged.
-If you are a minor, it is essential that your parents are present to sign the authorization on the day of the tattoo.

These are the guidelines for the tattoo procedure. If you have any questions, we’re happy to help!

2.

care after your tattoo

Your tattoo is 50% done, now you need to do the other 50%. Ink is a foreign body to your body and it will try to expel as much ink as it can, so every care is important for the healing process.

REMOVING THE PROTECTIVE FILM
Remove the protective film after 3 days. Under warm water, carefully peel off one end of the bandage and pull it off. If you are exposed to a lot of dirt and dust, use the protective film for 7 days.

AFTERCARE USAGE:
After removing the protective film, start applying the healing cream.

– Drink at least 2 liters of water a day. PLEASE! 🙏

– Only sanitize the tattoo with soap and water.

– Moisturize the tattoo 5 to 6 times a day for 30 days, the more you moisturize, the better it will look. Apply a small amount of cream to the tattooed skin with gentle movements.

– The more you moisturize the peel, the more the skin will absorb the pigment.

– When the cream in the kit runs out, you can buy another ointment specifically for tattoos. Body moisturizers are not recommended. Avoid products that contain petroleum and lanolin in their formula.

DON’T DO OR AVOID

– Avoid very fatty foods, pork and fish, and alcoholic drinks for a week, as they influence the body’s inflammatory system.

– Avoid very hot baths for the first two days, as they dilate the skin pores and hinder the healing process.

– Don’t scratch or peel off the tattoos, as they protect the pigment in the skin and prevent contamination by microorganisms.

– Avoid touching the tattoo with dirty hands, whether during sanitizing or moisturizing.

– If you have pets, be especially careful to avoid their direct or indirect contact with the tattoo.

– Avoid intense physical exercise or sudden movements in the tattoo area for at least 7 days to prevent blood vessels from rupturing, stretch marks or deformation of the design.

– Plastic wrap: use as little as possible, as plastic for too long breaks down the cells that are healing.

– For the first week, dry the tattoo area only with a paper towel, avoiding the use of towels.

– Avoid the sun, sand, swimming pools and saunas for 30 days. If you need to be in the sun, cover the tattoo area.

– Avoid using sunscreen for the first 15 days, as it can alter the color of the tattoo.

– Avoid using antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs.

– Avoid tight clothing: Opt for loose clothing that doesn’t cause friction or excessive pressure on the tattoo.
